Ahmed Mohamed: "After an unlikely turn of events, EA owned Visceral Studios, known for their acclaimed Dead Space franchise, have taken the reigns of DICEs Battlefield series. Hardline is a spinoff focusing on a smaller scale cops and robbers storyline split into TV-like episodes that result in many partial good ideas ultimately combining to form a decent enough single player experience and a disjointed multiplayer that is anywhere from addicting to downright poor."

Niall De'Ath writes: "Isaac Clarke can't seem to catch a break. His childhood was less then happy: his father was never home, his mother was a religious zealot who sold all the family possessions to the church and his grandmother made him wear her nightmare-inducing sweaters to space school. But things are looking up. Now working with the merchant marines, Isaac has been given the opportunity to prove himself on an emergency response mission. Unfortunately, the ship he's come to help is the USG Ishimura. And his girlfriend is missing. And there are necromorphs. Poor Isaac.
"Dead Space has always been a personal favourite of mine since its release in 2008, and seven years later I still seem to boot it up every few months. The slow, cautious moment of Isaac, the subtle whispering of voices that echo through the halls of the abandoned planet-cracker and the often abrupt, frantic fights for survival with the Lovecraftian nightmares aboard all make for a truly memorable experience."

The Battlefield franchise has always been home to different types of military warfare from the bloody conflicts of World War 2 to the futuristic battles of the 22 century and everything in between. Dead Space developer Visceral Games first attempt at a full Battlefield game, Hardline, however, is very different

Purexbox:
Like the Call of Duty franchise, Battlefield has been doing the same thing for a few years now, and some could argue that the result is becoming a bit stale. While Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare aimed to shake things up with futuristic weaponry and gadgets to spice up both the single-player and the competitive space, it still largely felt like the same ol Duty. But what if you took the typical Battlefield formula and engine and reworked it for a game of cops and robbers instead of macho military elites? Battlefield Hardline employs Visceral Games the developer behind the Dead Space series to do just that, and wed say the results pay off. Well, to an extent.

"Visceral Games wanted to take the venerable Battlefield franchise in a new direction, so DICE took the Dead Space developers up on the deal, bringing the Battlefield Hardline to life. Battlefield Hardline takes the battle to the mean streets of Los Angeles and Miami that puts an explosive twist on the classic childhood game of cops and robbers. The game features a single player campaign with a star studded cast and some serious changes to Battlefields multiplayer formula."
